American Red Cross
We're there when people need us most.
Our purpose is to meet the immediate disaster-caused needs of individuals, families, and communities. Explore how we respond to disasters big and small, across the country.
From small house fires to multi-state natural disasters, the American Red Cross goes wherever we’re needed, so people can have clean water, safe shelter and hot meals when they need them most.
-
We respond to an average of more than 60,000 disasters every year
-
95% of our disaster relief workers are volunteers
-
The vast majority of disasters we respond to are home fires

SAM Medical
What began as a spark of innovation when founder Dr. Sam Scheinberg discovered a medical breakthrough in a simple gum wrapper is now a globally recognized emergency medical solutions brand. From militaries to law enforcement agents, EMS and first responders to fire and rescue squads, to hospital staff all over the world, if you're in the hurt business, you know and trust SAM Medical.
To serve the diverse customers and fuel our founder's passion for innovation, SAM has built a world-class organization. Based just outside of Portland, OR, a bioscience and technology hub, our Tualatin facilities provide access to best-in-class talent and resources.

Tualatin CERT
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) provides an opportunity for individuals to make a commitment to the emergency readiness and response of our city. CERT provides training in earthquake awareness, disaster fire suppression techniques, disaster medical operations, first aid/triage, light search and rescue as well as team organization and management.
With an emphasis on hands-on practice, trained instructors guide participants through a FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) course that covers basic skills that are important to know in a disaster when emergency services are not readily available.

Tualatin Neighborhood Ready
Are you ready for the next local disaster? In a major disaster, first responders will be overwhelmed; we need to rely on our neighbors and ourselves!

Our Tualatin Neighborhood Ready program offers disaster readiness presentations for you, your neighbors, and local businesses. Through an in-person or Zoom presentation, we offer preparedness steps: Family Plan, Water Storage, Home Emergency Supplies & Storage, Utility Shut-offs, Evacuation Go Bags, Communication Tips, Home Hazards, and Getting to know your Neighbors.
The presentations are facilitated by trained CERT volunteers.
For an in-person gathering with your neighbors, we can help you set up a 90-minute meeting, in a driveway, garage, backyard, or cul-de-sac.
